Lynne Wesonga

Managing Partner

Lynne Wesonga is a senior investment professional with experience spanning investment banking, private credit, and impact investing across Africa and the Middle East. 

She began her career in investment banking, where she executed mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, and project finance transactions across multiple sectors. She later transitioned into private credit and impact investing, leading capital raising initiatives, structuring investment vehicles, conducting due diligence, and overseeing portfolio management across growth-stage companies and infrastructure platforms.

As Managing Partner of Decla Capital Advisors, Lynne advises growth-stage enterprises, fund managers, and development partners on capital strategy, investment readiness, transaction structuring, and execution. Under her leadership, Decla combines institutional-grade financial rigor with hands-on implementation support, positioning clients to attract, structure, and deploy capital effectively.

She currently serves on the board of Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE), a global business association for the decentralized renewable energy sector. In this capacity, she contributes to policy advocacy and market development initiatives across emerging economies.


 

 

 

 

Wendy Wanja

Investment Associate

Wendy is an entrepreneurial finance professional with a strong track record in leading end-to-end transactions and scaling high-impact businesses.As an Investment Associate at Decla Capital Advisors, she leads the technical execution of mandates, specializing in financial engineering and strategic business valuation.

She supports SMEs to become investor-ready by developing robust financial models, preparing investor-grade materials, conducting valuations, and strengthening internal systems to enable seamless capital injection.

Previously, Wendy worked as a training consultant, delivering Microsoft Office solutions designed to enhance workforce productivity and analytical capability. She specialized in advanced Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, power query, power pivot, and financial modeling, supporting professionals across diverse industries.

She also brings hands-on entrepreneurial experience as the co-founder and former CEO of an agribusiness enterprise serving institutional and retail clients, where she built a strong institutional customer base across Kenya’s coastal region and drove sustained revenue growth and market expansion.


Daniela Makokha

Operations Analyst

Daniela is an experienced operations analyst supporting investment advisory engagements through structured process management, data analysis, and operational coordination. With exposure to complex transactions and advisory assignments, she plays a critical role in ensuring engagements are executed with discipline, clarity, and efficiency. 

Her role involves contributing to proposal development, supporting the design of project tools and operational frameworks, and strengthening internal systems that enhance delivery standards. She coordinates engagement logistics, including scheduling with external partners and managing travel planning, while closely monitoring workplans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure seamless execution. 

Additionally, she is responsible for preparing comprehensive internal and external reports that provide accurate updates on engagement progress and performance. Through a combination of analytical rigour and structured implementation support, she contributes to delivering high-quality outcomes across investment advisory mandates.
